San Clemente Palace – 5 star hotel – Venice

The Isle of San Clemente, having a surface of 68.000 m2, is located in the central lagoon of Venice, directly facing the city itself, the Giudecca and the Lido. The first historical notes go back to the year 1131, when it was built as a hospital with a little church on its side. From the second half of the Nineteenth century, after many transformations, the island became a nursing-home.

DV Real Estate was selected in the year 2000 from Beni Stabili (Leading Property Company) to coordinate the works of the final and executive design, and to carry out the works for the realization of the civil and installation process connected to the restoration and refurbishment of the whole compound, transforming it into a 5 star luxury hotel. The Project takes into consideration the value of the building’s existing characteristics, under the supervision of the “Soprintendenza per i Beni Ambientali e Architettonici di Venezia” (Environmental Supervision Heritage of Venice), protecting the architectural elements and all the integral styles or types.
