Works begin for the reconstruction of Arquata del Tronto

The works for the construction of the stabilization and retaining structures in the historic centre of Arquata del Tronto have been completed and handed over, marking a key step towards the subsequent reconstruction of the town.

With a total project value of approximately €70 million, the project involves a series of major geotechnical and infrastructure works aimed at stabilizing the area and ensuring the safety of the historic centre.

The main works include the construction of vertical and inclined micropiles to reinforce the main road, two underground reinforced-concrete shafts, and a system of 328 permanent active anchors, with a total length of 12,970 metres. The project will also include the construction of new terraces and retaining walls, as well as works on the town’s main infrastructure and utility networks.

This is a complex project that represents a key milestone in the reconstruction of Arquata del Tronto and in restoring a safe and accessible historic centre to the local community.

For DVC, the handover of the works marks the beginning of a new phase of a highly significant project, in which technical expertise, organization and cooperation among all the parties involved will be essential to supporting the area throughout its reconstruction.

A project looking to the future, contributing to the restoration of Arquata del Tronto’s historic centre and to the community’s ability to once again live and experience it.
