DVC is carrying out structural strengthening and seismic upgrading works on the piers and pier caps of the Molise I Viaduct, located along the S.S. 647 “Fondo Valle Biferno”, in the municipalities of Guardialfiera and Larino (Campobasso, Italy).

The activities are part of the first lot of works commissioned by ANAS S.p.A. and are aimed at strengthening the viaduct’s structural elements and improving their performance.

The works include excavation around the foundations, removal of deteriorated concrete through hydrodemolition, cleaning and passivation of existing reinforcement, installation of new steel reinforcement and construction of reinforced concrete jacketing. The intervention also includes the application of protective treatments to the concrete surfaces.

These works contribute to preserving and improving the structural performance of infrastructure that plays a strategic role in the mobility and connectivity of the Molise region.
